“Luxury accommodation for your best friends”

The KURI team is very excited to share with you the opening of our brand new Kennels.
We can assure you they surpass the current legislation in regards to Temporary Housing for Companion Animals which came into effect in New Zealand late last year.

Comfort

Your best friends will sleep in fully air conditioned surroundings, as per the new legislation ranging between 17C and 22C all year round. They will have access to outdoor and indoor areas, 28 in total, so you can be assured they will be exhausted at the end of the day, which in our case means lights out at 9pm. All dogs will be exercised on average up to 6 hours a day, more than most get at home. We also have an added extra the social time option for those dogs that are sociable. Plus lots of other activities as outlined in our information below.

24hr Constant care

At KURI we constantly provide the very best care, overnight accommodation will be no different. KURI staff will not be on site after 9pm. However that does not mean your best friends are not being carefully watched. KURI have installed the very latest systems to ensure they are better protected than if a human was overseeing them. At lights out your dogs will be serenaded by music that is known to promote restful sleep. The Alarm system we have installed is one of the best on the market and allows for 24/7 monitoring of our facility. We have installed smoke detectors, motion detectors, cameras, and alarm systems which notify a 24/7 monitoring company should they go off. Also 3 members of staff are also informed by the system simultaneously. ​
As the building is new, it will withstand earthquakes, and is fire resistant to the latest building codes. We also have the fire brigade on call for any smoke detector activation, so way more monitoring than most if not all homes and kennels. 
In the unlikely event of a fire, the Airport fire brigade would be called, they are very close. They are also implementing the evacuation plan, meaning they will know the building inside and out. 
KURI understands this may be of concern to some of you that we don't have staff on site overnight. KURI catered for that by ensuring your dogs will be looked after better than you when the humans are also taking a nap.

The KURI kennels offer 3 amazing options: Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class Suites. For each option we have allowed for a wide range of services for you and your dog.

The checklist will help you when booking online

This will help KURI to help you, by expediting your booking process.

  1. Login and register via the button below
  2. Fill in all the details about your pet (in the box Diet, please let us know what your dog eats, e.g. Raw or Dry, rabbit or game etc, Orijen or Acana) more information the better
  3. Choose your dates and underneath select times for pickup and drop off (you can arrange times outside of our normal operating hours 7am to 9pm at extra cost)
  4. IMPORTANT: Please fill in the Additional information box (in this box we need to know which suite you are wanting, so economy, premium economy or business class) plus any other information you feel is important for us to know about your dog, for example it could be behavioural or things they dislike or things they love, like hugs and cuddles.
  5. Add appointment services, grooming, walks, birthday party, anything you can think of that you want for your dog whilst they are on holiday with us
  6. If the system says there is no availability ensure you have sent a Wait list request, so one of our staff can contact you to see if we can book your dog in. (in this case submit your form now and ignore point 7)
  7. Before you Submit your form please sign (tick box) the agreement terms and conditions saying you agree to them. (Only applicable to customers whose booking shows availability)
